The Youth Fellowship Planning
Group met following the opening meeting of the Junior Youth
Fellowship on Sunday 30th. September.
After a great deal of discussion a
draft programme for the month of October was agreed. The Junior Youth
Fellowship will meet each Sunday evening in the Church Hall from 6 to
7 p.m. Each evening will start with a story on a Bible theme told by
Dane with a period of discussion to follow; there will then be a
choice of either games (prepared and provided by Janine and Caroline)
or watching more of the video made by Jim at last year's Newshounds
event. The evening will end with a short epilogue using singing (and
helped, it is hoped, by Tom on guitar and accordion).
The Senior Youth Fellowship will
meet following the Junior Youth Fellowship from 7.30 p.m. Each
evening of October will begin with an 'Any Questions' with questions
contributed by the members. There will be a team of four to answer
the questions. For the first fortnight, three of the team members
will be made up from the helpers at the group with one 'outside'
guest. At the end of twenty minutes the guest will be interviewed and
will have the opportunity of speaking about his or her work, faith
and interests. It is hoped that the guest for the first week will be
Tom. It was agreed that the question master will be Dane and the
panel for the first week would be Jim, Jamie and Caroline. For the
next week Janine and Caroline will prepare a list of suitable books,
films, TV programmes etc. for a team game of 'Give us a Clue' and the
evening will be rounded off with a short epilogue led by Jamie. By
week three it is hoped that members of the Youth Fellowship will
start to be represented on the panel. It was agreed that there would
be a time of evaluation and replanning after four weeks. |
