Arrochar Parish Church 'Faith and Peace' window |

This window contrasts the armour of faith on the left-panel with the Gospel of Peace on the right. The wording on the left panel is 'Above all taking the shield of faith' and, lower down, 'I have fought the good fight'. At the bottom of this panel is the Colquhoun crest with the motto 'Si Je Puis' (If I can). The wording on the right-hand panel is 'Feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace' and, lower down, 'Blessed are the peacemakers'. The inscription, which is in a panel at the foot of the right-hand panel, reads 'To the glory of God and in loving memory of Colonel Sir Alan John Colquhoun of Colquhoun, Bart. KCB, 28th. of Colquhoun and 30th. of Luss, born 19th. September 1838, died 4th. March 1910. This window is placed here in deepest affection by his widow Anna Helena Colquhoun of Colquhoun on the 8th. June 1911. Until the day break and the shadows flee away.' The window also bears the inscription 'A Ballantine & Son, Edinburgh'.
