Arrochar Parish Church Congregational Board Report |

The Board of Arrochar Church met in the Church hall on Thursday 13th. March at 7.30 p.m. This was a brief meeting called to ensure that everything was in order for the Stated Annual Meeting or the congregation to be held on 16th. March. The accounts had already been discussed in full at the last meeting, the minutes of which were agreed at this meeting. Karen took the Board through the accounts and everyone was delighted that such a good report of the congregation's stewardship would be presented to the congregation at the annual meeting. An innovation was a series of graphs and pie charts which had been created by Karen to help us understand our financial trends. It was briefly noted that all property and housekeeping matters were in order (a new vacuum cleaner was to be purchased) and the fund-raising committee was continuing with its money-raising programme. It was however proposed and agreed that a new scale of charges be set for weddings to take effect for weddings arranged for 2004 and beyond and, of course, not to affect any weddings already arranged. Under this scale there will continue to be no charge for members of the congregation or those who live within our parish. For those from outwith the parish there will be an all-inclusive fee of £350 from which the Church will pay a fee of £50 to the organist. The meeting ended with prayer at 8.55 p.m. |
